Hi! I’m Heeseung Yun, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the InnoCORE LLM Research Center, KAIST. I recently completed my Ph.D. at Seoul National University’s Vision and Learning Lab under Prof. Gunhee Kim. My dissertation on Multisensory Egocentric Intelligence received the SNU CSE Best Thesis Award, and I was named one of three Next Generation Engineering Leaders across SNU’s class of 2026 engineering PhDs. My research journey includes a research scientist internship at Meta Reality Labs Research and collaborations with researchers at AI2, NVIDIA, and Meta. My work has been supported by fellowships from Qualcomm, NAVER, and Yulchon.

My research builds egocentric and situated omnimodal intelligence for human-centric agents, with applications in extended reality, immersive telepresence, and robotic embodiment. My active research spans (i) egocentric multisensory perception across audio, vision, and behavior (e.g., gaze and pose), (ii) panoramic and 3D scene understanding, (iii) situated agents with embodiment, and (iv) efficient multimodal adaptation underlying these systems.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing and (un)learning musical instruments. 🎸🥁🎤

🚀I’m currently on the job market! Feel free to reach out if my work aligns with your team.🚀
